Martha Leigh Whitten

Martha Leigh Whitten is a native Texan, in fact both sides of her family settled in San Saba County in the mid to late 1800's. Her great, great grandfather was awarded a land grant for fighting in the battle of San Jacinto in 1836. The land is still owed by her immediate family and relatives. Martha Leigh graduated from Texas A&M University in 1980 with an accounting degree and was a CPA for Ernst & Whinney (currently Ernst & Young) in Austin before opening her own accounting firm. She was a partner in Whitten & Rennscheidt CPAs and Whitten & Williams CPAs. She was raised working cattle and sheep and riding her favorite horse Dunny. Martha Leigh's accounting background, heritage in the county and involvement with farming and ranching all her life have led her to real estate sales. A former city council woman, she is currently serving on the LCRA Board of Directors, the San Saba EDC Board, Assistant Treasurer of San Saba's First Baptist Church and many other civic organizations. She and Bob have four children who are all 5th generation Texas Aggies.Martha Leigh has over 40 years of experience in finance and accounting which is invaluable in the real estate industry. She has been very active in the Central Texas real estate market in the past 17 years. She enjoys water skiing, boat riding, traveling, and most of all her children and grandchildren.
